Canon iRC3100 Fax Installation Problem

HI all , one of my present customer is using a iRC3100 machine and now they wanted to install a additional FAX function , so i went on to install everything but after the installation of the FAX KIT set......i found there is no additional SEND button appeared , *28* have fax board install but at the control panel no SEND button for faxing use.

3100 Fax

Sometimes what can happen when installing faxes. There is a large connector that connects the fax board and the pins inside this connector can become bent. Check the inside of the connector. This has happened a couple of times to me.

go to service level 2>>option>>Body>>UI-send,set to one.

wow both penangkia....haha services lvl 2? services mode also got lvl eh meh? if normal one ( * 28 * ) then i can go try out tomorrow.

You won't see a send tab. When you install a fax board you should see a fax tab. Send tab is only present when you install universal send.

This is true. You will not get the send function unless you have i-send. For example if its an IRC3100i.

Try this ( *28*>>*2 )and you wil go to level 2

Why? It won't do you any good, there is nothing in level 3 that has to do with the fax.

Make sure your connectors for the fax are seated well. If so, then you might have bad fax board or fax modem.

Hi all , I have tried installing that same FAX Kit into other machine and it work... but NOT by popping up FAX Button but is included inside SEND Button - FAX .....

Very confusing now...... how come when i installed into a machine without a SEND button the stand alone FAX Button wont pop up....

I reread one of the post regarding UI-SEND to 1, this is for send.
In regards to that for the fax, try setting UI-FAX to 1.
Not sure 100% it will resolve your issue but it won't hurt to try.

With machine's equipped with i-send it will fall under the send button. Machine's without i-send will get their own fax button as far as I know. I have fitted many fax options and never really had to change anything in service mode to make it work. What does is say in the installation procedure for the IR3100 fax option. That is where it will tell you. Time for some RTFM I think.

for bro Iommanxman : my fax kit confirm no problem cause i already fix in other machine with Send button ready.... it will have an extra FAX.

I wonder what happened to that particular machine fix in no FAX button...
