DF Multifeeding on Canon IR3245

This is going to be the next step I think. Can anyone figure out what sep pad skin might be the same? and what the part number is so I can try this?? Thanks Guys I only have limited parts and service manuals to hand.

I tried a skin transplant. Went back to the cust-brought a slightly used sep pad that was working in a set up m/c. Consistent jamming still on multi feeds. The sheets seem to slowly work their way over the mylar in front of the pad. This model has a thin mylar piece in front, unlike the previous models which had a thick yellow pad. Also the sep pad in quest has a small textured piece in front. I placed a skin from a 4570 sep pad on top of the current pad. It made a huge difference.
Will monitor and follow up.

Any movement on this problem? I have come across same problem and customer is using 90g paper through feeder and is having feed problems.(0092)
Tried new skin improves problem but not perfect.

Just a thought:
in Paper feed Assys you need to decrease the pressure of the Sep Roller/Pad (whatsoever) in case of multifeeding, not increase. Just give it a Try

Can't really put an update to this as we have ended up replacing the machine with a different model.

However the only solution that we could come up with was to just keep a good stock of sep pads. You will need to change them every 5000 scans.

2 SWAGs: Check to make sure there isn't a white spring pad mount on the underside - if there is, make sure you are using the lower mount (reduces pressure). If you are sure it is a "grip" issue, there is a "stick-on" paper separation pad for the DADF-N1 (FC5-4368) that may help. Just stick it on over the top of the existing pad.

I tried the DADF-N1 (FC5-4368) helped but still jamming intermittently .

Will try to cut a few turns of tension spring?

As mentioned before more than one machine doing the same at same site since install! Got to be design and needs a Modification of some sort!?

My experience with this has always been multifeeding...
