    Document feeder jamming irc_3220

    HELLO AGAIN,

    Im not sure if there is a thread about the Document feeder jamming/multiple feeding the rollers and sep pad are new and just been replaced....i know this has been an ongoing issue i was just wondering if there was a premanent fix to it...any help would be greatly appreciated thank you in advance!

    no goog news here...

    I can report no new ways to make this K1 feeder work more reliably than to make sure you are using the seperation pad, black plastic body, that has the 3 white dots on it to designate it as the updated part. This part has been in use for about 5 years, so I have to assume that is the one you are using. I replace the pads as soon as they start to complain of multifeed issues. Spring can be stretched some to increase pressure. It is a miserable feeder, that will only get better when the customer replaces the 3220 with a new box.

      mrfixit....thank fo your quick reply to this...do you have a part # for the sep pad just so i know that we are using the same one...im out in bermuda and im not sure we get the same parts this way if i have a part# ill make suer to order it...thanx again

          Stretch the spring that is attached to the sep pad housing. This has been my fix 100% of the time. Caution though, do not over stretch spring!!!
