It eats fixing film assemblies like a fat man at an all you can eat buffet...
There are a TON of mods that need to be done to correct 0107 and 010C jm codes in this machine...once they're done it's a good machine....but the iR2018i/iR2022 IS having a fixing film issue at the moment.

They will provide a new FIXING FILM ONLY to authorized Canon Dealers only as the issue is related to the film units only.
There's an issue with the film splitting at the center and both ends of the film move towards the center.
We had a machine do this after 41 copies

Document feeder has been my issue with the 2022,, multifeeds, put in new sep pad, still multifeeds. Not very robust.

Either I'm very lucky or it's the machines sent to your particular markets!!!

We have several of these machines in the field and apart from toner hardly hear from them. We just ensure that the various rollers and the machine in general is kept clean.

I will say that I agree with the fact that they do not seem very robust, 90% of it is plastic and what there is of the metal frame is quite thin. I think the most aggravating thing about them though is a lack of a specific jam location reporting and the fact the system is based on Canon's fax software rather than the proper copier system.

Apart from that I think they are a good little machine.
