90 I think is the ADF. Don't know what FF is. Maybe a "power on" error Where is the paper jamming?

      FF90

This can't be a ADF error. It happens with print jobs.

Mostly it happens after the last page of a print job.
Also alot of the time during the job the finisher S1 exit rollers do not drop to push paper out. Spent many hours on this, swithing all sensors trying to move the problem... Im thinking maybe a DC controller....

All my service books, Canon canada and US webpages has no into in the FF90....

you may want to eliminate the finisher from the equation. The problem maybe with the finisher. Did you look in the S-1 man. for that jam code? Also check to see in the two way communication is on in the print driver. It may not know that you have an S-1 and could cause that jam.

On newer machines this is caused by a communications error with the finisher

FF basically represents a logic problem. The jam arose and the machine doesn't understand why. try DC con clear, look for loose connections at the sensor or sensors in question, make sure the sensor arm has good spring tension so it doesn't bounce. It's a tough one to troubleshoot, but if it indicates where the jam is coming up I would look at the components and wiring there first. Athough as stated earlier it could be communication issue. You may end up needing a new PCB (though not likely) or flashing the machine and components to the latest software.

Reloading/updating the system software has fixed this for me in the past.
