    ir 3530 printing

    hi ,
Whenever my client shoots a print from the copier ,
he needs to come to the copier and select the paper.
He says he loaded paper in both the trays and still its asking him to select the tray from which the paper should come .

The paper selected is in AUTO and he tried even selecting the firs tray which has paper in it .

But still he has to come to the copier and select the paper.

    Please help.

    Thanks.

It sounds like the paper size that the computer is printing is not in the copier
if you look in the printer driver and set the size that he normaly prints
and scale it to the size as paper in draw in the printer driver
Happens alot when customers send letter sized print to a machine that has A4 loaded.

      but .
where in the computer can we select the paper option ?

If i give a print , it has to come directly , without selecting the paper again in the machine.
As u said , the paper size in the computer and the machine are same.

      Thanks.

        select paper size

Select the printer and go to properties

go to page setup there U can set the page

moreover check the application which You are using also has a page setup option

Page size should be the same in Applications, Printer Driver and cassette of the machines

easyiest way is to go to copier and select change paper size to auto in the printer settings

I've had this a couple times recently. If none of the above suggestions work, go to additional functions/common settings/drawer eligibility for ads-aps and turn on cassette switching for all cassettes under printer tab (also copier and mailbox tabs if wanted).

There's a 'Paper Size Override' option under Additional Functions > Printer Settings > Paper Feed.

If switched 'on' and the device receives a print job on a paper size it doesn't have (eg 'LTR', when it only has A4, A3), then it will automatically pick the nearest match (in this case A4) without prompting the user or holding up the print queue.
