    Please help does anyone know how to resolve this error message, customer wants to scan to email, no user manual, we have just replaced his exch server from 03 to 07

    Error TX report - TX function not completed TXRX number 1718 recipient address\\sbsserver\data

    for a Canon IR2016i

    hi,does it fail on internal email or external.has smtp add changed.

      Hi THUK,

      it is on both int and ext and we do need to know how to change the SMTP server in the printer/scanner settings , hope you can help :-)

        -The destination directory on the FTP server is not correct or
        does not exist.
        -The specified directory was not found when transmitting
        to the FTP server.
        -The Folder ID is not correct.
        -Incorrect upload directory.
        -No authority to access the folder.
        -Not allowed access to the upload directory.

        Remedy:
        -Check and verify that the FTP destination is correct.

        -Change the upload directory for the destination.
        -Change the setting to enable access to the folder from the
        server side.
        -Configure the server to allow access.

            MS Exchange 2007 has uprated security protocols compared to 2003, it is a great deal less accomodating straight out of the box.

            Have the server admins set up a new hub transport connector allowing anonymous connections via IP (specify device IP) in the Exchange settings.
