Canon GP225 error code

Hi
Newby here who is very impressed with this forum Is it customary here to offer to get a round in at the virtual bar?

I have a problem with a Canon GP225 - its giving error code E031 which makes sense because the unit has just been transported. Thing is I can't see the offending sensor - could anyone point me to exactly where it is?
Alternatively, anyone who could send me the Service Manual for a GP225 would most certainly be added to my Christmas list...........

You stated it was just moved...

Did this machine have an optional copy counter on it, that did not come with it in the move? Only E031 I was able to look up had to do with an iR330/400 bulletin. It stated the option counter or the dc controller as being the likely culprits...

Should of typed E051 - the side or horizontal reg motor sensor I believe.
Been told to reset/reposition it I just don't know where to look.
Of course this could be way off so any light you can shed on this would be most appreciated.

The gear on the small motor for horizontal registration motor is probably cracked. It's in the reg area. You need to do some disassembly on this one.

Not sure which US model the GP225 crosses over to.

I assume the 225 is part of the GP200 family, and the sensor/motor are accessed from the right side of the copier, in the cassette 1&2 paper feed assembly area. Pop the paper feed assembly out of the copier, and with the assembly out, you should be able to find it now.
