Canon iRC3100 CIS error

Hi all ,

I have a unit of iRC3100 that have a thin line appear from copying process.Printing from PC and System Printing have no lines...so i decided to take out the CIS unit to check see if there is any dirt inside...after i check and i fixed it back , machine show error code of e00225-0001 , i try to error clear but still the error pop up....i wonder if there anyone here could help?

Make sure the white plate under the glass is clean...does the cis light up??

I have check from the part list of it.... the CIS comes in a set without the eLamp , mostly i think Canon dont allow us to open up the CIS as i did to cleaned it....i think mostly i had screwed the CIS.... SAD!!! i'll get it replace and see if it solve the problem.

Yes the eLamp still lit up Bro Canuck.... but the 225-0001 wont goes off..

anyway, back on topic..

with the CIS, are the sensors the top bit or on the sides of it? i have had 3 copiers in the last week that have got a nice thin solid line across the copies and its definitely in the CIS assembly cos i just swapped one. but it looks PERFECT!

one, even tho it looked perfect, was blown clean, and didnt fix it, then was wiped (even tho we werent sure if we should wipe it) and it came good, the other 2 havent..
