Canon IR330-400 Touch screen Error

I am Using Canon Image Runner 330-400 network printer cum copier. for the past two days In My Printer' s TouchScreen vertical lines appearing. Is it due to any major problem? give me technical answer.

It is a defect only in the display, you could try to disassemble the display screen to see if you have a bad connection, or simply replace the display with another used one, or a remanufactured one from a company like Hytek or Nationwide. The disassembly could make the screen unviewable as well, so I would really urge you to have a backup plan for the replacement before attempting the disassembly of the current one.

thank you sir. but this complaint is only after clearing ther error 0004. if any mistake due to this clearence will held?

If confirm LCD unit and flat cable are good, then a very high chance of IC 74LS244 defect. A 20pin DIL IC near the flat cable connector.

you could get one for around Rs500/- why bother to tweak it. put the display unit in another machine and reconfirm before replacing
