    IR C3220

I am having problems with color registration on a C3220. I do gradiation adjustment and colors may be 3mm or more off. I replaced ID sensors and ITB. I know with Ricohs I can adjust manually. I have a CD version of the manual but is shows almost nothing about this problem.

I tested with a working assy from another. I cleaned everything the first time. The machine only has 75K and 1500 on a new set of drums.

hi guys clean the rollers and gears of itb unit clean the inside surface of the belt.use citrus oil in cleaning in alcohol works but not to long.then do gradiation.if still there is a displacement after clean you have to do dc con clear.but you have to do the p-print.before dc con clear.gud luck

Smiley's right...if you've cleaned up the assy and tested using another assy...a DC clear is the nextstep...and if THAT fails then you need to realign the lasers.

You know that saying if working don't touch. I have just been going around in circles with the same issue after removing ITB and cleaning it, something to think about to help you.

                1. Remove the ITB cleaner, if it improves the alignment think about replacing belt and blade as a unit.

                2. if after blade no improvement and the misalignment is consistant, then a DC clear is next.

I had forgotten all about the clear, untill I did a search on Friday. I remember it happening once before. Going to the customers this morning, i'll let you know how it goes

re-arrange the laser units and then execute L-ADJ-O

this solve my color registration problem twice when servicing the ITB doesn't solve it.

Thanks folks. I removed ITB and cleaned the rollers again. I did a general internal cleaning. I ran a DC controller clear. then I removed the drums and Ran l-ADJ-O. Everything went back to normal.
