Has anyone seen this error code before, boots ok. Can't find anything in the service manual and calls to colleagues not helping much. Customer getting a bit twitchy, so any help is much appreciated.

I assume you have Canon website access.

Article # 62484,, has to do with the waste toner gate, PS12, gear set attached to locking handle on process assembly. PS12 is remaining blocked. Check the gear mesh, with handle down, the sensor should be open.

Hy dear.Tray to clean or replace waste toner shutter sensor.Check that the drum unit is properly installed.

It was the waste toner shutter sensor, toner had gone everywhere, so a clean up sorted it out. This customer is a financial house and they don't allow access to the internet, so i was flying a bit blind on this one.
