Paper trays are set correctly and I have ordered a fuser but I am not convinced that it will rectify the problem.Comment

Putting a wrap on the sensor arm springs on those machines have been known to help. I would wrap the ones just before and just after the fuser. I would also check the condition and operation of the flapper in the right side door assembly. Look for warping and chips or wear.Is the glass half full or half empty? I say neither. The glass is obviously full, full of potential. The potential to hold more water or the potential to quench a thirst. Life is all about how you see it.Comment

I appreciate all your helps folks so I replaced the fuser and the feed section for tray 1.I also applied some draft excluder to the guide that houses the idle rollers for tray 1 just to give it a little bit more grip when feeding the paper. So far so good.Once again, thanks for your help.Comment

1. The Fixing Assy. (usually you have a worn film showing on edge of copies and possible intermitten dog eared copies on side of worn film)
2. On the Right Hand Door, when closed, sits right above the Fixing Assy. , there is a black deflector of sorts that has two little black pads underneath both ends of it. First make sure that you the deflector is moving freely. Usually the pads melt and the deflector will stick and give you a 0208 accordian jam in the Fixing Assy.
3. If you have the Internal Finisher S1 installed, remove the (2) black idler rollers w/springs that are in the exit path just above/after the Fixing Assy. and right before the Finisher Inlet. Don't ask me why, but there were tech pubs on this and on previous models when the Internal Finisher was installed, you would remove these puppies.
The C2880 is slightly different. The Fixing Assy. is very different and I believe the delivery area and deflector is different. Haven't had this jam with the color series as much. Let us know if you see the machine again (besides your nightmares). The glass maybe half full, but less is more...
