Canon IR2020i Constantly Jammed...

We got the IR2020i....only 16K pages life cycle...and already we got constant jamming during printing....we checked the feeding path and found nothing...The tray setting for the paper TYPE and ORIENTATION is Correct! The machine would start to print and then stop for jamming errrors....even the paper is perfectly feed 1/4 or halfway .....This is extremely frustrating....Can anyone gives us some idea as to what maybe wrong with the machine...? Thank you.

At what point does the paper stop.
And does it jam from all trays.
I also suppose that you are a user, correct..

Yes I am a user...working as IT Admin... the machine would jammed randomly...sometimes in the beginning of the feeding of paper sometimes halfway....etc....Is there a way to update firmware or anything would help?

Yes you can update firmware but that's not gonna probably help much.
Flip the paper over in the cassette when you experience back to back jams. This machine is not so significant as others, at 16k, it should not be giving you such a hassle. Media plays a good role in paper feeding, however you can check the feed rollers for flat spots. Check the guides in the cassettes make sure they are not broken.

Ok...thanks for the help...I cleaned the rollers and dusted out the interiors...seems to help at the moment....but dont know for how long it will last ....at the moment ... thanks for the help.

The grey reg rollers are a cause for jamming clean these with spirits..( no not for drinking purposes ) lol

If you clean the grey vertical path rollers and the problem goes away for a while. Trere is a service bulletin where you fit a modified gear to the pick up assembly giving the paper more time to get to registration. Contact Canon with your serial number and qeury the problem. Otherwise keep on cleaning the vertical path rollers

Check the arm,feed sensor.Play with them with your finger if maybe stop sometimes.
