Hello all. Any advice would be appreciated. I have a customer that has 2 imagePress C1 machines. One of the machines has a fairly heavy volume and recently had a copy quality problem that turned out to be the laser unit (random digital lines going off the page). In order to get this high volume machine up and running, I "Borrowed" the laser from the other device that was not having a problem until I could get a new laser unit. Upon arrival of the new laser, I went and installed it into the machine that was previously working fine. Since then it has consistently given E061-0015 error messages. I have removed and reinstalled the laser at least 6 times and retraced my steps carefully to make sure no wires were pinched, HVT lines out of place etc. Also in addition this machine only has 10K copies on it so it is practically a new machine. I also replaced the primary corona to be safe as well as ordered and replaced the laser with another for trouble shooting purposes. I also cleared the DC-CON and MN-CON with no success. Anybody have any experience with this? I have searched the Canon knowledgebase and only found a couple of articles that pertain to an E061 and neither apply to my particular case... Thanks for any advice or help that might be shared...

Hi, have you solved the problem? I have the same problem with an IPRC1. After repacing the primary corona, complete drum unit, itb-assy and laser/scanner assy the machine allready displays E061-0015. Tomorrow i will replace the potential assy.
Best regards

Yes, I ended up doing a "drum reset" in service mode as if I had replaced the drum. Cannot remember exactly where but afterward, I rebooted machine and it works great... Something about resetting the drum parameters to the laser output... I thought that was strange as I did not have to on the other machine I put the laser in...Comment
