    i have a ir4570, but now e602 0001, and i don't have firmware software, if you have pls inform me to candiyanto@yahoo.co.id , i have sst 3.02 and many firmware (ir3300, ir5000 d/dn)

    Chances are you will probably still need a HDD.

      why do i need a new hdd, because i think its running well w/o noise? pls help me

        E602-0001 is a HDD faulty code. Try scanning the HD, see if that helps first.

          Noise is not the only issue that you can face on these machines. Service Support Tool will not map around bad sectors on the hard drive. The copier is very labor intensive on the hard drive, every process requires writing to, and reading from it. So when it goes out under a 602 code,,, you had better replace the drive and reload system software. Or you will get to return later to eventually perform that task.

            and unfortunately they dont last very long if you dont replace the hdd i've noticed..

            you could try a hdd check.. start the copier while holding 1 and 9.. might get it going for a while, but chances are you'll be back quite soon..
