    iR4570 SMB Scanning to SBS2008

I have a ir4570 with universal send. when i try to browse the network to the SBS2008 server, i can see the domain and all of the workstations in the domain but not server. I am sure there is some sort of security setup on the server that will not allow me to do so. anyone have the same issue? I have disabled the SMB digital signing with the same result. Also, the firewall is disabled.

    any ideas?

Sounds like SMB protocol is not being used on the sbs. Even if you can't browse to the folder you can input it as "\\192.168.0.1\scans" or whatever the ip address and share is of the folder. As long as the copier has the correct credentials to access that folder it should work. Another thing, if it still can't connect, go to a command prompt at the server and type "arp -a 192.168.0.xxx" (or whatever the ip is of the copier). Some SBS won't communicate with unknown ip's so add it there.
But if you want to see the SBS on the network either enable NetBios over TCP/IP or add true peer-to-peer under optional networking components.

Thanks. That all makes sense I'll try it next week.
