Canon 6020 won't print from network card or LPt port?

Just brought this copier Canon6020. I have the driver setup on the computer for both both PCL on LPT port & I also tried the ps on TCIP Network to print from and I can't get neither to work?

The printer will print fine from the glass or scanner.

I set up the printer port tcip to read the printer ip address with no luck. Printer process data light doesn't come on when sending a file.

BUT the processing data light comes on when using the lpt port but doest print anything.

I do perfer to print from the network card for it is faster...

    Any help would be great.

    THANKs Again
    Ken

Are you sure you have any PDL installed on the copier? If it does not work from even the parallel port it sounds like you do not have a print kit installed.
There are several ways to check if you have PCL or PS pdl's installed. Counter check>device configuration. Look for PCL or PS
Additional functions>printer settings>settings (should be a PCL or PS option)
In Service mode copier>display>version These still used the "N" boot rom i think.
If you don't have PCL or PS you won't be able to print.

Do a quick check. Connect your laptop to the copier, load the print driver using the TCP/IP address (one up or one down) and print a test page. If it comes through the issue isn't the machine.

So this was working as a printer from the customers office and now you have it and it is not working?
Are you using the right driver? The driver with the -M2 is for the Fiery controller the one without is for the built in controller.
Did they have Dept ID codes? Turn ID codes off or turn on the "accept jobs with unknown ID's" Additional functions>system settings
I'm not sure if the 6020's had the IP security settings or not, but if it did it might be turned on and blocking all but the designated ip's. Additional function>system settings>TCP/IP i think its the last page where you can block ip's.
Try doing a MMI clear or reset to factory defaults.

              .

I think you might have to enable the parallel port for printing under additional functions>system settings.

                Thanks for all your HELP!!!!

My mistake punch in the wrong IP address so it now works on the network.

Don't know about the lpt port not working. Like what someone said about turning it on can't find that setting. Don't care anymore about the lpt port since the ip is working.

                THANKS Again!
