    IR 5870 - Macintosh Driver?

We have a IR 5870 we are using in a multi-office environment.

I am not proficient in Mac's but know enough to usually get the job done.

We have a user who has a Mac with OS X - not sure what exact version but I am not sure it matters.

I downloaded the PPD driver - v 2.80 to his laptop and was I think I was able to get it installed correctly.

Since we are in a multi-office environment, everyone has their own mailbox and we require an account code in order to print.

I looked under every option I could see and did not find anywhere in the options to enter either the mailbox or the account information.

Any clues on if I need a different driver or where exactly I should look?

You can't change the PPD from the print center. You can manually edit the PPD if you have a text editor for your Mac. Or change the destination every time you hit file print from a program.

File>Print>from drop-down menu hit printer features
Choose Destination and change it to Mailbox. From that drop-down menu add the mailbox #. There should also be a place to enter the dept ID under the drop down menu.

If you don't have the Fiery C1 controller, use the UFRII driver and it should have a place for Dept ID and mailboxes.

Thanks, I will try the UFRII driver as we don't have the fiery controller on this machine.

When I was looking for it originally, I had Word open, and I did hit file - print and looked under the printer features and I don't remember seeing anywhere to choose a destination or enter a code. I clicked on every drop down, and the closest I saw was a "Bill to" area but I think that was for the cover page.

Anyways, I don't have access to the Mac now, but I will give it another try when I get the chance! Thanks!

I believe you need this driver. UFRII_v2.00_MacOSX.zip.
