Canon CLC 3200 and Konica Minolta bizhub C350 (with fiery RIP)

    Dear all,

I have to buy a used color machine for my print shop. I have two offers Canon CLC 3200 and Konica Minolta bizhub C350 with fiery RIP. It is on the same price. I need some advices which to buy.

    What I need in machine:
    -to accept 300gr paper
    -good print output
    -fast RIPing for prints
-rentable for toners and service, more durable and less problems and services

Simply what is the best for me, more rentable and less errors?

    Thanks in advance.

Personally I work on canon. The canon IRC3200 is a business color machine it is not intended for graphic work, though people still do use as a graphic machine and this should be a big concern. Its a good machine for its time. Its not a bad machine, but drums, toner, and fixing unit must be replaced from time to time. There are better IRC's now. Plus, 300gsm paper in this machine is consider too much. Specifications for heavy type paper is (210-253gsm)

The bizhub I know nothing of.

Screwtape is correct about the Canon. While it is possible to run as production colour, it's intended use is office colour. I know the bizhub as well. It basically falls in the same class as the Canon-office colour.
The Canon is a better machine overall compared to the bizhub. Better paper feed components, better colour etc.
While the Canon is in my opinion better, you should maybe check other options and find a model that can handle the duty cycle you plan on running!

300grams/square meter,,, are you printing on road signs??

That weight of paper sounds like it is designed to be used in an offset press, not a copier. Both Screwtape and Roho have advised you well,, neither machine is designed to run that heavy of stock. You may have to consider other avenues to address your needs. Many machines can do some extraordinary things for a short time,, but long term they will not continue to do so.

hehehe, ok but do not hit me with the screw.

I just simply asking for which to buy, which is more to handle graphics and quality and to be rent able, and what I seek for is to have a glossy shine, where I hear that CLC 3200 do not have.

              any more reviews guys

                HI,
i have c350 with fiery. It is very good choice for copy center. The RIP is not the fastest, but works well. also the running costs are very low . I print 280g paper without any problems. HOw much do you want to spend ? There are machines for 1600 EUR with fiery and 150.000 pages done-like new.
                hope it will help you.
