    Magenta Problem IR C3200

    Hello,

I'm having a little problem with my IR C3200 machine. I started making copies and the copy the came out of the machine had too magenta on it. What was supposed to be blu became purple. I then start to calibrate the machine using additionnal functions - Adjustment/cleaning - Auto gradation adjustment.

It didn't work out. I dicided to calibrate with Command Work Station 4 and do Autocal.

    It didn't change anything.

I checked out the duration of my drum units and I have

    M (144)
    Cyan (133)
    Black (155)

Can somebody tell me if it can come from one of the unit and how long is a unit supposed to last in term of numbers in Tech mode.

I'll be wainting for an answer

    Thanks

Well, blue looks purple because you have an excessive use of magenta.
Try replacing the magenta drum. This is a business color machine. The drums are rated about 40K based on 5% ratio of coverage on LTR sheet . If you are doing that, then your drums should see about 40K. If you doing beyond that then your drums are gonna crap out prematurely

Does it mean the drums are

      Magenta : 144 000 copies
      Cyan: 133 000 copies
      Black: 155 000 copies?

No. This does not determine life on the drums.
There are other ways to determine drum life.

The numbers you listed are considered percentage of life,,, 144%, your drums did better than 100%. Changing the magenta drum, as Screwtape instructed you, should get your blues bluer

Several years back we had a spate of magenta drums causing an overall blush on the copies, that was somewhat dealt with by an upgrade in the system software. I advise you to get your copier up to date in that regard. For whatever reason, the problem originally popped up around this time of the year, I believe do to the weather change...
