Can anyone tell me what a E0000990-0000 is on a ir 3380 copier.I looked at the waste toner assembly for damage.Everything looks ok.

0000 When the output of the abolition toner shutter opening and shutting
detection sensor doesn't become "H" when it WMUPR period after the sleep returns after eight hours or more pass, the door opening and shutting is detected or main power switch turns on.

Problem with your waste toner shutter
When you open and close the handle on the unit to pull out the process unit, the handle open and closes sensor PS12
try...
a) Cleaning PS12
(could be covered in loose toner)
if this didn't work then
b) Remove the locking handle, and set the gearing so that it cuts out and sits at PS12, then replace the handle in the locked position

I have also seen a problem with the sensor just above the waste toner chute. With continual remove of the waste bottle that sensor may be hit and move out of position. Check to see if that sensor is still mounted correctly to the top of the frame.Comment
