E602 0003 error

Hi all,
please be kind to me as this is my very first post..
I have a canon ir5000 with E602 0003 error. I know its the HDD error and was wondering if i can do the same defrag as can be done on the ir2200/3300 by holding buttons 1 & 9 whilst switching on...Does anyone know

Even if doing the defrag works, you will need to replace the hdd soon. It's worth a try.
