iR C3220 - does not see N1 finisher

Have a C3220 that does not see the N1 finisher. I know that the finisher is working (it works on another machine). Have plugged it into the pedestal and nothing. Plugged it into the machine and nothing. I did look at the Log and did see two codes, a E716 and a E712. The doc feeder works and it copies great, it does everything it is supposed to minus the finisher. Just does not see the finisher at all. When I go to service mode, it does not list the finisher.

Have not seen this one before. Help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

It usually blows because somebody unplugged the finisher while the machine was powered up.

Fuse is OK. Still nothing, so I took the pedestal apart and made sure everything was plugged in good. Did the same on the dc controller. After I restarted the machine, hey the finisher showed up and started working.
        Thanks

Well now after sitting turned on over night, I come in to find it has a new code, E713. I know what it says in the manual, it is a communication error with the pedestal. I guess the boards in the pedestal are bad?
