    Canon iR3380 and iR5185

    Hi, Gang,

We currently have a print shop who, for some I-Don't-Want-To-Know reason, purchased an iR3380i (with internal RIP) and an iR5185 with an imagePASS H1.

They are complaining that the color output is too different between them. Of course, they want them to look the same.

We've spent quite a few hours tweaking, but the customer still isn't happy.

I was wondering if we could get a bit closer if we put an imagePASS J1 on the iR3380.

I have access to the Fiery Profiler Utility, but I'm trying to avoid that, as there is no money in the deal to cover my time.

I'm thinking that the engines are just too different to get close, but I'm hoping that I can "dumb down" to 5185 just enough to get them close enough to keep he customer happy.

    Thanks!

    3380 - 5185

an imagepass added to the 3380 will get the output much closer. But they must do calibrations faithfully
