    E000604-001 iRC3220

machine originally came with an imagepass c1 printer server installed

I removed the c1 and want to use the PS/PCL settings.

I replaced the open interface board with the UFR board

I replaced the C bootrom with an N bootrom

    installed new system software.

now when i reboot the machine, E604-001 comes out.

however, if i put back the C bootrom, the error code will not appear.

E604 only comes when I use the N bootrom which made me think that the

    is SDRAM is ok.

anybody who can point out my mistake? suggestions? thanks!

What happens if you use the n bootrom with the open interface board installed ie take out the UFR board?

Did you also go to service mode / option / img-cont and set this to 0

img-cont was already set to 0
but i didn't get the chance to test the N bootrom + open interface board.

I managed to make the thing work, while reading the service manual
      I stumbled unto this phrase:

"Be sure to use the image memory (SDRAM) PCB and the boot ROM from the old PCB on the new main controller PCB."

so I took the memory from the same machine I took the n bootrom from and suddenly...it works?

I'm pretty sure the previous memory is ok since it doesn't cause any problem when I'm using the C bootrom.

although the machine is working now, I'm still confused
