    ir3570 E575-8001 sorter error

Canon ir3570 with E575 codes and sounds like gears grinding in sorter. Just don't seem like it is running smooth as it goes through its setup process in the sorter. Anyone seen problems like this on the small internal finisher on the copier???
    Thanks

Check the black plastic holder that runs front to rear that the solenoid for the feed rollers locks into. I've had the notch on the right break and the rollers are not moved up and down smoothly and causes a grinding sound. Don't know if I described this well but you should see what I'm talking about.

      work in progress

I tore this down again!!!! problem is once you get down there what ever is hanging up is fixed just by tearing it down. I checked into Brian's thoughts but found no problem. I have cleaned and lubed the two large gears on the bottom of the sorter that swing the lift for paper exit looks as if they could have been hanging up. Motor for this area looks strong. Fingers crossed in the mean time

I have seen those two large gears in the bottom that you mentioned cause some noise problems. I lubed the hell out of them during reassembly, and that did resolve my problems. Hope it resolves yours as well.

          lubed

That is what I did. Tore it all the way down to those gears and lubed big time.
          So far all is quiet
