canon ir c3220 printing green stripes

hello I have a problem with my printer, it is printing thin green stripes on the right side of the paper. I feed it on the bypass because i use 12x18 heavy 2 paper. I have been working with this paper about 2 months and i had no problems until now

Do you have a Fiery controller, or the internal Canon controller?

I saw this with a Fiery once (same green streak)- reseat the SCSI cable that goes between the Fiery and the printer (after powering everything off, of course )

Not sure what the issue would be with the internal controller, though.

Considering you use heavy and 12x18 paper, thin green stripes could be anything, transfer cleaning, drums. I would look at those components first.

The first thing I would look at would be the magenta drum.
Have you tried a 'skyshot' using the 3 colours? Raise the feeder and with nothing on the glass go to colour select / single colour then take a copy using the 3 colours. The first thing I would look at would be the magenta drum.

Usually when drums fail, they'll start to leave toner on the edge of the page, leaving no blank border. Usually starts to show up after a few prints, the first few may be fine. I suspect yellow and cyan drums are failing-hence green. Running heavy stocks will lower the life of the drums.
