    Light Copy at bottom

    Hi all,
I am Canon IR3300 user and technician. When I keep A4 page in vertical position bottom part (may be 20 to 30 % of A4) comes lighter than remainng. I removed platten glass, clean beam with spirit but still the problem is same.
Can anybody help me to rectify the problem.

LOL..so as a tech you don't know what to call paper other than "vertical"?
SIGH...ok...check the transfer roller as they sometimes have the spring missing from under the bushing....check the dev to make sure that a)...there's toner on the cylinder and b) there's toner actually IN the dev.

oze: to keep cost down(or increase profit) most of the users in India are 1/4th techs . Some users even rebuild fuser units of smaller models like GP405 etc. They learn this by seeing tech's do it. We call them screwdriver tech's . he he

Yeah David...I mean no racial slurs or anything but it CAN be a sore point with brand trained techs.
And as for rebuilding GP405 fusers...I used to rebuild NP fusers
