hi.....as the s-m said...E202-the home position sensor does not go ON.when the main power sw turned on.
001-the scanner home position sensor does not go OFF.when the scanner moved forward by40mm.
i hope it is help my dear.i wish you good luck
D L P gave you the right process. Check the lock first. Then I would Power down, remove the glass, and move the scanner to about half-way (in order to make sure it moves enough for you to notice). While the glass is off is a good time to see if the HP sensor is knocked loose. Put glass back on, power on and observe if the scanner moves and stops before "slamming".
No movement means either the motor or reader board. Could be either, but the way I would go is Remove the covers so you can touch the motor with your hand, and power cycle the unit. What you are looking for is if the motor is trying to activate (yes guys, I know about part check - but I get the feeling he is more basic than that). No attempt - I would replace the motor first. Attempt but no movement, I would replace the board first.
If it moves, change out the HP sensor. After changing the sensor - if it still happens, the reader board has an issue.
As always, your milage may vary

Reason: Spelling is not my strong suit
Guess it is up to you, but rather than jumping all over the place checking the least probable cause - why not try the troubleshooting process of the 4 most probable causes (lock, sensor, motor, board) DLP and I suggested? Scanner movement, or failure to move, is key in a 202 error.
I just got this error E000202-0001 when I accidentally pulged the copier into a 220 V plug. Heard a nice pop. Unit still powers on but give the error. HELP!
you blew it up
at least the power supply or the main board
time to trash it the info about plugging it into 220 instead of 120 would have been helpful up front
the way you did it was a waste of peoples time
get a meter out and start to go point to point
if you can't do that then call a technician
