    E733 - iR8500

I am getting E733 on an iR8500 . The machine does an initial rotation on power on , stops abruptly then restarts again . The display is "Wait" with the status bar at 100% point. Going into service mode all the fuser temperature is displayed as 25C but when i touch it its much hotter.

Have so far chaged DC Board, Main Controller. IP board, IP to Main Controller cable.

Any suggestions on where i should be looking.

    Hi David,

The temp difference is suspicious,, the DC controller is what monitors that temperature, and if it is not seeing how warm the fuser is,, kinda leads me to the DC controller. Did you notice the temp thing going on with both of your DC controllers? E733 is a comm failure between the dc and main, as you probably are aware, and usually is resolved by either board. Can you cross verify these boards in another machine, (I know how time consuming and what a pain that would be). I have seen boards destroy other boards when placed into a machine. Possibly replacing known good main and dc together to be sure of no cross contamination from one of the boards residing in the copier.

    Good luck
