    Run-time error '91'

    Hi, dear fellow copier doctors,
Need advice on SST, Currently i am using SST v3.11E. It was okay with previous model (iR3300, 6000, 7200, 8500 etcs) but recently i am doing this iRC6870, i wanted to register the firmware for the newer models but it show this error code ( Run-time error '91', Object variable or with block variable not set). What does it means? Is it that my SST is too old for the new models (does not support)? SSTv3.11, well that is the latest on hand with me. Wonder if anybody who have the latest version of SST would land me a helping hand? e-mail : alanccg@yahoo.com
    Any advice will be appreciated.

    Thanks

I can help with this. (Run-time error '91) usually happens when you have a earlier version installed and you try to upgrade using updated firmware. You must uninstalled completely all of sst v3.11, using add&remove programs, and also check your program files folder and toss the sevice support tool folder, if its in there. Or, sometimes a canon file folder is created when you download canon's files, you should check and see if the older version is in there as well. Do not throw away your, serv tool, serv font, or serv data. After your uninstall, restart your computer and then install the latest version.
The recommended version to use would be v4.11 to the latest which is v4.22. You can also use v4.11 for the older models like, (iR3300, 6000, 7200, 8500 etcs).

      Thanks for your information, Srcewtape.
Manage to get SST v3.22, did as what you mentioned with the v3.11 and install the v3.22 and it works, now i can register the system firmware for the newer model (iRC2880,iRC6870 and so on) but haven't try connect to the machine yet.
BTW, do you mind guide me on how to upgrade firmware version using USB stick? Is there any procedure i must follow?
      Thanks

Slimply register the firmware to the SST then stick your usb stick to your computer, open up SST and use the USB function pick the firmware, register it to the stick. After that then pop the USB into the machine and start up download safe mode and follow the options on the control panel.
