    canon ir 3300i problem

    Hello everyone,

I have a canon imagerunner 3300i that is printing a 1/4" black strip at the bottom of the page when I make a copy or receive a fax. It happens only with the letter size paper. The top of the black line is wavy. Any help to fix this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Hmmm... without seeing line, hard to say, but top two causes of bands/lines, especially at edge of page would be:

    1. Fixing Film
    2. Drum Unit

Inspect the Fixing Film for damage/build-up near the relative edge of the image defect. These Films are notorious. Relatively easy swap. However, I would also recomend to either replace your Fixing Cleaning Roller at same time, or just remove it. Especially if it is caked. This could also be part of your issue. As far as the Drum goes, they are rated to last 55K pages. I have seen them last on average 10K to 35k. Especially if the DGAMMA adjust was not done to them when they were installed. Inspect the Drum for damage/wear near the relative edge of the image defect. Most obviously it would appear that the green OPC layer was scratched off at the rear edge of the Drum. Start there and see how you make out. Other area to check would be Tran Roller. Make sure paper/label not wrapped around. Good luck.
