NP2020 Error blinking 004

I had this Canon NP2020 copier since 1996, it is the original NP2020 not the latest model with same name. Having a problem with copier. On power up, it displays error code "E" then starts to blink "004". What is the error code means, and what need to be fixed. Thanks.

The fuser has indicated a fault.

A Fuser error for sure. You may be able to reset it in service mode. Clear Err. That machine is so old not worth replacing fuser parts.

To reset the error remove the small cover on the lower rear side of the left cover. With the power on press sw1, turn power off then on.

The unit is NP2120 not NP2020,made a mistake.
I had someone took a look at it yesterday. He quoted me $495 for fuser and $200 for labor. This machine has only 38,000 miles(copies) on it. It's a bummer to throw away a good machine if I can fix it. Any good source for replacement parts and good direction to replace the fuser. Also, is fuser and roller same unit? the roller seems to be bad as well.

That's right unfortunately you have problems in fuser section

that s' right you have problems in fuser section
but try to make (trade in )by a new models this better for you & customer
