    IR 1022 Developer unit

    Hiya

Has anybody had problems with dev units on the wonderful IR1022?

I have one that had a new dev unit about 4K ago and is playing up again.
The copies are very light and uneven, I put an old unit in to see if it was the dev unit and it improved so it must be the dev unit yet again. Can anybody shine any light on this from their experience?

    Thanks in advance

this stupid machine? man i hate it! the developer sometimes fool you around. i think it's the toner or cylinder problem. i once replaced the blade but the problem persisted. i recommend cleaning the cylinder with solvent and check the contact plate whether it's covered in toner or not.

I have found customer has used compatible toner here in uk a particular toner supplied by a manufacturer beginning with A firstly they are a very bad fit and always when light copies the toner has worn away the fine coating on dev roller so use a better compatible supplier or original canon
