    Main Controller and S2 issue

What is the difference between the V1 and the V2 with reguards to the machine. How do you tell the difference?

What device are you refering to..

The imagepass S2 v2.0 is for the iR7105.
    Version 2 is for the V2 iR7105.
    Version 1 is for the V1 iR7105.

When you have a version 2 iR7105. The boot program is different from the older version 7105.
    A imagepass with v2.0 won't work on a older version 7105. The 7105 can be upgraded to V2 IR7105.

To check whether you have V2 7105, hit the counter check button and look by the serial number. You should see V2 if not
    then you have V1.

To an iR7105. The main controller to be exact. The thread that I posted about the E110 was the laser but...the imagepass S2 crashed so they swappeds out the main with one from a 7095. Yeah I know bad idea. The client could print using an "N" typr bootrom. Here we are at today. Got the machine running but when we put the "C" type bootrom the machine went right into E602-002.

Put back all that was removed first, then try to figure out the S2 issue. Your just digging a bigger hole.

Update: We got the machine to print without the S2. The bootrom part numbers were not matching up and we decided to place it safe. The E197 codes were the result of a tech that rebuilt the fuser unit but didn't clean up the residue from the old one. The main controller that was ordered was for a much older version, the type that has the hard drive slide in, no ribbon cable.
Thank you for the help Screwtape.
