irc3220 original size detection problem

hi guys,

I have this problem when using the auto size detection, when using the glass when copying.
it detects A4 as A3
I've changed the sensors already but still same problem...
any suggestions?

thanks!

If the reader unit open/close sensor (SR1) is not actuated properly, when the document feeder or platen cover is closed, the machine will mis-detect the original size . This can occur when the sensor (SR1) is bad or the document size detection sensor assembly is not actuated at the proper angle when closing the DADFK1 or the platen cover. If the document detection sensor assy is actuated at an angle of less than 30 degrees from the glass, (too close to the glass), original mis-detection can occur.

+ If drawer eligibility for APS/ADS is set to off for the paper size you are copying off the glass that symptom will also occur

What about the AB/Inch size switch on front right side. It should be set to inch size.

actually the AB/Inch size switch is on the front left side for 3220
but your suggestion is correct, if i changed the size to LTR it does detect properly.

however, we normally use AB sizes in here (A4, A3)
any way I can correct this fault when using AB?

thanks again!

Make sure slide switches on LEFT SIDE of cassettes are set for AB/ if u have a deck CK set in DK-P O=A4 1=B5 2=LTR

COPIER>OPTION>BODY
CONFIG to set country-language-manuf.- and paper size system +/- scroll to set up press ok on each item change/ turn power off and on.

With the document feeder or platen cover open at normal rest position, test the document size detection actuator (upper left rear of the reader unit below the document feeder) by moving it with your finger, the exposure lamp should come on with a minimal amount of movement. If the actuator has to move 1/4 inch (approximately) or more before the lamp comes on check to see if the adjustment screw is missing on the actuator arm, if it is missing replace the screw and adjust it so the lamp comes on with minimal movement.

also when did this issue start ??????
