    IR 2270 printing issues

Alright I have read up on this machine. It appears that you must have a specific boot Rom installed on this machine to get it to print. I am going out today to check and see if it has this boot Rom. If it does not then this is obviously my issue, but if it does then then is what I am getting.

When I print to the machine it turns on like it is going to print, but then nothing happens. No pages come out. The job appears in the list like it recieved it, but the number of pages to be printed comes up 0 and nothing comes out. I am connected via a network cable and I have downloaded the current driver from Canon's website. I will be checking the boot Rom to today, but if that is not the issue I wanted to get out in front of it. Thanks for any help and I will post my results of my fact finding mission when I return

are you printing from a PC or MAC?
If from a PC make sure you are using the standard TCP/IP port. You may also want to use a cross over cable and try printing from your laptop to eliminate anything with the customers network. If the machine is powering up when the print job spools up I would say that you have the N boot rom installed in the machine.
You can also verify network settings on the copier with what the customers computer is configured with by running a 'ipconfig' in the command prompt.
Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned.
