IR3100 freezing.

    IR3100 freezing.

    Hi can anyone help i have a 3100 that keeps freezing when plugged into network-tested with laptop via crossover works ok.Its a small office with just this mc one server running and 8 pcs working.the copier was working b4 xmas as soon as office opened after xmas this prob started.we have a total clear on mc and upgraded s-software and tried another network card but still have same prob,also they have no IT support. we cannot get the mc near to hub or switch but have tried other network points but same prob.HELP ME PLS.

    Try to turn off multicast discovery. I think it could be the problem. And when you are on the go turn off snmp too.
    It could solve the problem.

      You may want to put a hub or switch between your copier and their network. Multicast is a possibility, also there is a chance that they are running power over the ethernet network, and this can cause issues, Canon copiers do not like that environment.

        Like stated, turn off multicast discovery and SNMP....have had this issue
