Question on a C1 IPr DEV unit

    Here's one to ponder
Excessive use of Dispersant powder on a C1 color DEV unit (Magenta)
Not a recall/ defect problem on that series
    Unit almost empty
    other colors almost full
    Color copy was great.

    not printing just that color
    Its not spilling
    Its not leaking
refreshed all DEV at the same time
    Dev % within range
    6K copies. (should get 60K)
    Firmware update
    door specs
    70K total on copier
    Drum good
    ITB good
    Prim wire good
    grid good
    Clean inside copier

Would like to ck the DEV unit doctor blade(wiper can be adjusted 6 screws)
guess is .008 to mag drum

just used up the refresh way to fast on that color M
    to almost empty.

    Any thoughts?

how do u know the starter Magenta Developer (Dispersant powder) is depleting ??

if so u would receive e020 codes/ & washed out colors & mismatch colors ????
U can just use the Canon M Dev rebuild kit for the Developers, instead of replacing the unit !!!!!!!!!!!!
what do the pg5 & pg6 test prints look like ??

    ?? is this a C1 or a C1+

      Its C1
I have had these units apart before, its very easy
Also very easy to clean with a small nozzel vac

Open it up, or its very light I Did get the E000020 code
Rebuilding kit for a DEV unit that has 70K?
      PG 5 M was banded
but as I said the unit was empty
Just looking for an answer to research this
I can see the toner getting used up but the dispersant powder?

Any way the one measurement is the gap between the doctor blade and the mag roll
OK I can just replace the unit, But not after only 70K
