Scanner in IR8500

I try to setup ir8500 scanner.
I setup scan gear and network . Scan gear can find ir8500. but scannersoftware dont run for doing scan.
note:
I can`t go to ip address by internet explorer and firfox. (win firewall turn off)
ir8500 printer is working.
please help me step by step

Just some to touch up on. Are you using the B/w scangear tool. Are you putting the 8500 online from the machine first>Scan tab>online. Then you go back to a workstation and pull scan the document. What program are you using to pull the document into, Microsoft word, Adobe standard, Photo shop. It will not work with Adobe reader.

1. On the imageRUNNER copier, press the Scan button. Press Online.
2. On the PC, start the TWAIN-compliant application. (Microsoft word, Adobe standard, Photo shop.)
3. In the application, select Network ScanGear as the scanner to be used. In the application, choose the command that selects a scanner, then select Network ScanGear in the dialog box that appears. After doing this operation once, there is no need to repeat it.
4. In the application, choose the command that starts scanning operation ,for example, "Scan New" or "Acquire".
