Canon ir5000i - Scan feature

Is there a way to turn on the Scan feature so you can use Network Scangear like you can with some other models?

COPIER>OPTION>USER>NW-SCAN
Set to "1" to enable the scan tab.
Set to "0" to disable the scan tab.
After making changes, be sure to reboot the copier for the settings to take effect.
