    Canon IR C3220 Memory

When it says on the consumables, available memory is that memory or hard drive space left?

    Thanks

that is your hard drive space for your mail boxes.

      Hard drive

Can I just put in a larger one, or does Canon have its own format?

      Thanks

u can add 128MB DIMM in the outer slot (DIMM2) in the image Pass

& I think u can add the 512 dim expansion kit to 3220 main controller pcb

Adding the Dimm speeds up the printing,
With the Hdd, saving jobs to reprint is one of the main things it does other that save copier settings.
As for the format, read the manual for its specific install.

I have found most of the time that the only time you really need to replace the HDD is when it crashes.
          and the DO!

I think I see where you are going with this... even if you put a 1 terabyte drive in the machine, you would still only have the amount of space for the mailboxes that Canon allocates for this process,,, can't be enlarged.
