ive got this error code on my canon imagerunner 3300
im thinking main board
i have swapped the part from another machine and have the same problem....


any thoughts????
please help

Its been a while since I worked on a 3300 so from the service manual -
E677
0001A fault occurs it the combination between any of the printer boards (acces-
sories) and the main controller PCB.
Main cause Any of the printer boards (accessories) is faulty. The main controller PCB is
faulty.
Action
1. Connector
Is the printer board (accessory) connected correctly?
NO:Correct the connection.
2. Printer board, Main controller PCB
Try replacing the printer board. Is the problem corrected?
YES:End.
NO:Replace the main controller PCB.

Have you tried swapping the ram?

Just a SWAG, but I would try reloading system software as E677 has several items to check, but the 5802 seems to be SSW related.

As I said, a SWAG and your milage may vary
