    Canon IR1600/2000 printer cover

Hello friends, i have a Canon Ir1600/2000 with a problem check printer cover. I have checked an recheck all doors and covers on this machine.I have also checked the switches on the doors but the same problem prevails. Can anyone shed some some light on this problem?

    Thanks much in advance.

I had a case like this.
Was there a jam? What led to the reason for opening the cover or doors in the first place.
There are times when a machine jams and the customer opens up doors or covers and pulls paper out,
the sensors don't reset, especially the one's that are located on the pick up assy's.
disconnect the pick up's, either one or two from the dc controller and restart the machine with all
the covers close and see if the message is still there. If not then you have found your problem. You can reconnect the pick up's
back onto the dc and see if it comes back. In my case the machine was good after that.

          Check it out.
