I believe the system software hasn't been updated for a while now. So your corrupted files could be from the latest version.

THank to all for the help you have given, I was sucessful in using the program to restore 2 machines, however I am having another problem, I have 3 ir2200 in need of HD replacement, I ordered the parts from canon and was sent Hitachi Drives, however my system software tells me HD type does not match, I am not much of a programmer so editing the ift file is something I am not familiar with the number of the HD is

        HTS541640J9AT00

        Can someone assist me here?

        I would greatly appreciate it.

Canon may have sent you an incompatible drive in error or you could have an old HDFormat.ift file. The HDFormat.ift file has been updated more recently than the firmware. You can take a look at these instructions posted by Oze: http://www.copytechnet.com/forums/at..._not_found.pdf

Edit: Just had a look and it is mentioned in recent versions of the HDFormat.ift file. Whether or not it works is another matter as not all drives on the list work.

Edit #2: It's one of the more recent additions to the list. I think it should work hopefully.

Edit #3: It was the Fujitsu at the bottom that didn't work, from posts on the forum. I hope the Hitachi works fine. It should.

I guess he obtained a more recent version of the HDFormat.ift file which includes that drive.
