Dear all, any ideas on this issue as title shown? Few parts had been changed but the error still occur.
Parts changed: ITB unit, Developer unit, starter (M) , rotary unit.

IT will happen when print color or perform auto gradation adjustment. Pls assist on this issue.Thx

Make sure all your connectors are seated properly on the inside front right side of the machine where you pull out the ITB.

Canon TP58707 addresses this issue. Bottom line is like Screwtape said - check the connectors. A snip from the TP:

Note: To find these connectors easily, please do the following:

      - Open the right side door.
      - There is a large metal plate that is located near the top of the space that is visible by opening the right side door. The plate "surrounds" the fan visible toward the top. The three connectors are located behind this plate.
      - Remove the four screws which secure the plate.
      - The connectors are now visible to the left.

Wiring harnesses are notorious for breaking on these machines....if alot of copies on the machine replace the harnesses.....documented in manual

I have shot myself in the foot with this one,, hate those tiny connectors, make sure you pull on ALL the wires of the connector at the same time to minimize this issue...

Make sure the patch reading sensor in the ITB unit is clean and its wires are ok. I helped a tech the other day on this same code....we replaced transfer belt and cleaning blade. Acted exactly the same...crashed while doing auto grad. Look at psens i believe while its doing gradations. If its not seeing a clean belt before it lays patches it spits this code out.

                  Normal machine values under DISPLAY/ DENSITY/ D-(Y,M,C)-TRGT = ~ 430-480.
                  On a malfunctioning machine DISPLAY/ DENSITY/ D-(Y,M,C)-TRGT = ~ 630-1025.
