    Canon ir-4570 dadf problem

    Hi guys
I have a canon ir-4570 copier ,the document feeder pick up roller is staying down, not going back up to it's home position, so it would not take any paper in at all.
I tried opening and closing the document jam cover and found no difference,I even tried cheating the jam cover and found the same,no drive or gear movements.

    Please help.

Did you try initializing the feeder?

Does the machine recognize the feeder?

Did you remove the rear panel of the feeder
and check to see whats going on in there?

-You must make sure there is(J2) 24v dc supply to the DF
        -Led1 is blinking
-All fuse in the Df board is intact
-also check the sensor PI 10 cover open/close sensor
        Hope it will help.

This sounds like a spring wrap clutch that is broken. That happens from time to time. Do you get the paper present green light to come on if you get the paper past the pickup roller into the normal start position?
