    Canon IR2520 Start up

    Hi all,
Can anybody shed some light on this...Have just gone and installed a Canon IR2520.
On installation it did not ask to install the toner or go into a toner feed state.
After trying to force feed the developer by doing lots of blank copies, i managed to get copies out but it then goes into error state E020 (lack of toner)
I need the information to put it into toner feed mode...HEEELLLPPP Please.

That's the way I did it but didn't get the error you did, until we got hold of a service manual.

This is the correct way from the service manual

service mode / clear / engin / TNRINST

Supplies toner from the toner cartridge to the
    developing assembly.

The cheaper Canons have a different service mode, that's not as good or as easy to use as the service mode that gets discussed on this forum. It requires the same numbers / keys to access it, just in a slightly different way.

Yea I kind of understand now. Those unit IR2520 just hit the states recently.
They are marketed as IR2525,2530,2535,2545 in the states
I was taking the course and I came across the service mode functions, and is like that of a IR2020.

              Skynet is correct.
As I look at the service manual. This is the correct way.
              Cheers.

                      Hi,
A client of mine just got a Canon IR-2525. I have not worked with these copiers, can someone help me on how to access Service Mode. I have installed it, but seem to have a problem with the copied image, it is only giving me about 30% of the original, the rest y plain white, I guess its just toner configuration. How may I access.

One of the machines actually is getting paper stuck just before it exits the machine.

I hope I explain myself...my english is not very good

                      Thanks!!

                        Press > 2 > 8 >
                        to get to Service Mode.

Enter service mode by pressing (*)ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS key followed by 2 key then 8 key then (*)ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS
                        { each key is pressed separately }

You need to Stir toner at setup.
Select Service Mode > CLEAR > ENGINE> TNRST> OK. Toner Stir to take approx. 5 minutes to complete.

This unit needs a toner stir that is ran through Service Mode during an installation. The Service Mode Toner Stir can be performed by entering SERVICE MODE > CLEAR > ENGINE > TNRINST > OK. The main unit will then stir the toner and will last around 5 minutes and is required for toner agitation. The machine will stop on it's own when complete. The unit can then be tested for image quality after it has completed the toner stir process.

The Jam Log is included in the Error Log. To print out a JAM/ERR Log, perform the following steps:
