The CLC series was Canons first foray into Colour Laser Copiers and remained their flagship product in that area for many years.

When they started their Image Runner series they also made a few lower cost colour machines geared less toward photo and high end printing and more toward the publishing crowd.

Now they appear to have dropped the CLC moniker and are naming new modals as iRCs, some markets like the UK they also appeared to continue using CLC instead of iRC (ie: their CLC-3200 = our iRC-3200).
No, I will not send you Manuals, Software or your own little repair Genie to fix all your problems for you.

CLC are no longer made and the high end color copiers are no name Image Press. These are graphic quality machines. The IRC series is a business color machine made to run a lower quality color copy or print.
Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned.

it's all in the marketing for Canon/you have to keep up with changes in the industry or be left behind

some clients hate the imageRunners /some still love their CLC's
